HSDPA (and 3) rocks

27 February 2008 by Niels Hartvig

I'm sitting in the train on my way home from the bi-weekly umbraco day with Per in Aalborg. And guess what - it's business as usual. The trains in Denmark has had power outlets for a decade, but with 3 offering top-stable HSDPA during the train tracks, it's completely like being at the office (well, accept I do miss the Aeron chair) - I just bought my model and subscription today and it ROCKS.

Me in the train with HSDPA

I can't believe that we've come this far with mobile broadband - that it's a reality and SO stable. It makes it even more ironic that the former Danish telco-monopolist TDC (no, they don't deserve a link) is trying to pursuade train pendlers to subscribe to their unbelievably slow and unstable wifi subscription in the trains.

Thank you 3 - now back to Courier work :-)

Wow! Over 7mbps and 299DKK/month! There's no offering even close in North America.

Gotta say I'm impressed. Also have it, and LOVE it. It really IS broadband everywhere you go, and I'll never be without it again.

    Thumbs up for Turbo 3G!
